- PUBLIC SAFETY — I will support and resource our police and fire fighters. I have visited our fire station on multiple occasions and have seen firsthand the need and the impact of our brave fire fighters. They work diligently to ensure we are all safe. I want to ensure North Liberty continues to be a place in which all children can grow up safe and secure.
- TRANSPARENCY — I am a life-long student, and I will be actively researching and learning how to best serve the city. I will be open and support open dialogue to best understand the desires and concerns of all residents.
- PROTECTING OPEN SPACE — I will protect our open space and parks. North Liberty has a natural beauty that all residents should continue to enjoy for decades into the future. We should look to preserve this space, build out our recreational locations and fund projects in our parks to engage strong maintenance and upkeep.
- STRONG FINANCIAL HEALTH — I will never cast a vote to raise taxes. I will work to ensure that small businesses can open and find success here in North Liberty. The services and jobs that these businesses bring will drive greater prosperity for all North Liberty residents. I will leverage my 10 years of experience in entrepreneurship and executive management to ensure that we work to balance the budget, make sound cost decisions and prioritize long term financial health.
- HOMELESNESS — We are often presented with situations that require a proactive approach to address homelessness. I will work to provide the resources needed to support both our social services and our police department to end homelessness in our town. I will compassionately look to provide needed support to our veterans, senior citizens, and individuals with disabilities.
- QUALITY OF LIFE — North Liberty has a small-town feel; it is rich in tradition; it has great and beautiful open space; and it has been a great home to raise my children. I will look to reinforce North Liberty traditions, preserve and improve our parks + recreational activities and prioritize decisions that help ensure North Liberty continues to be a great place for our children to grow up in. Whether playing tennis or baseball at Penn Meadows Park, Playing golf at Quail Creek Golf Course , playing basketball and swimming at the North Liberty Recreational Center, taking my kids to the kites for kids festival at the Centennial Parking, or enjoying the blues and barbeque festival at the same park – my family and I have benefited greatly from living here. My decisions will always look to preserve the sweetness of North Liberty. I will support the Affordable Housing initiatives and any effort to promote social equity.
- INCLUSIVE CITY — I support the inclusive city initiatives in our city. North Liberty should be a city without prejudice due to economic status, gender, race, ethnicity, or religion. We should provide equal access to social, economic, and political opportunities for residents. All of our residents should be enabled and empowered to share in the growth and prosperity of the city.
